Riding Lessons
At Balance Point Horse Training, our riding lessons are designed to develop educated riders and balanced horses through intentional, feel-based instruction. We offer private and semi-private horseback riding lessons in Reno, Nevada for riders seeking clarity, confidence, and deeper partnership with their horse.
Our lessons focus on biomechanics, balance, timing, and communication—helping riders understand how their body directly influences the horse’s ability to soften, carry themselves, and move with flow. Lessons include
in-hand and ground work, arena, off-property trail rides, working on things like clipping, recognizing the horse's mental state, as well as loading/unloading a trailer, and much more.

An Individualized Approach to Riding Instruction
No two riders—and no two horses—are the same. Each lesson is tailored to the needs, goals, and experience of the horse-and-rider partnership.
Lesson focus may include:
-
Rider position, balance, and body awareness
-
Developing feel and effective aids
-
Improving softness, the search for straightness, and self-carriage
-
Understanding the horse’s movement and flow lines
-
Building confidence and consistency in the ride
Lessons are structured to support long-term development, not quick fixes. Juci believes that the horse should be the judge of our work, which means an in-depth commitment to the journey of supporting their needs.
